In 1976 and again in 1986 the Pasadena Casting Club received the Federation of Fly Fishers' coveted McKenzie Cup as Outstanding Club of the Year. The Pasadena Casting Club is the only club to have received this honor twice. In 1987, the Sanford Miller Conservation Award was also presented to the Club. The Pasadena Casting Club also honors members of the fly fishing community with awards such as the Ross~Merigold Complete Angler Award, Herb Troebner Conservation Award, Pauline Cathcart Casting Award, and Ralph Van Wagner Outstanding Service Award. In addition to belonging in the Federation of Fly Fishers, the Pasadena Casting Club belongs to the California Sport Fishing Protection Alliance; California Trout; International Game Fish Association; United Anglers; The Nature Conservancy, and Trout Unlimited.
