The Outward Bound Adventures Flyfishing Clinic, Outings and Golden Trout Camp activities are held as a collaboration between the Southwest Council Fly Fishers International (SWCFFI) and Pasadena Casting Club. To learn more about OBA, donate gear or funds, please visit the website: www.obainc.org

The following are OBA’s Operating Principles:

To serve underserved urban and low-income populations and their families by providing meaningful and educational contact with nature that results in a greater appreciation of wilderness, self, family and community.

To be an organization that promotes self-empowerment and dignity over sympathetic charity and promotes personal accountability and community commitment over inaction by requiring all participants regardless of income level to invest some amount of their OBA experience.

To advance cultural, class and ethnic diversity and ensure equal access and opportunity for all to enjoy and learn in the wilderness and engage in nature-based recreation, volunteer service and employment
To create opportunity for long-term involvement leading to the ability to progress to the staff level and continue with OBA as a mentor.

To recruit staff that looks like, represent and have backgrounds similar to the youth and families we serve.
