History of the Pasadena Casting Club

The Pasadena Casting Club ~ a nonprofit organization, was formed in 1947 with 33 charter members. The objectives of the Club were:

  1. To promote and cultivate the scientific art of angling and casting
  2. To promote the conservation of fish, habitat and natural resources through example on the stream and through programs of public education
  3. To promote social relations among members
  4. To support and cooperate with other organizations having similar objectives.

With a current membership over 300, the Club's objectives are still the same today. In 1965, the Pasadena Casting Club became a founding charter member of the Federation of Fly Fishers, a national organization of conservation-minded clubs. The Federation now includes over 250 clubs throughout the Country and abroad.
