About this event

2026 Green River Float Trip in April 17-21 Pasadena Casting Club Green River Trip April 17-21 2026 Flaming Gorge, UT Organizer: Alan Vlacich 626 233-5570 avlacich@gmail.com The Green River in Utah is a world class fishery that should be on your fly fishing bucket list. Late April is supposed to have great seasonal Blue Wing Olive and Big Ant hatches. The Green River fishes as well as any other river in the lower 48 states in April. Being a tailwater fishery, they do not get the muddy snow runoff which so many other rivers are susceptible to. Whatever your preferred method of fly fishing may be, April on the Green River provides some of the best fly fishing anywhere. With remarkable hatches, high catch rates, and the chance to stalk individual rising fish, fly fishing on Utah's Green River in April is truly special. Our guides specialize in dry flies or a dry dropper, drifting mostly on section A and B of the Green River with 5wt or 6wt rods with floating line. Sign-ups are on a first come basis and payment secures your spot. Fishing This is a 3-day trip with guided drift boats on the Green River in Utah. Three boats (accommodating six anglers) have been reserved with On the Fly Utah. Two anglers to a boat. Accommodations Four nights of accommodations have been reserved at the Flaming Gorge Resort in their two-bedroom Family Suites (double occupancy required). These are newly remodeled rooms. The first bedroom includes a queen bed, twin bunk beds, and satellite TV.
